Steadying sail
Barges are flat-bottomed hulls, which makes them perfect canal ships but also very bad sea-going vessels. One traditional helper when dealing with waves is the so-called steadying sail.
This sail does not propel your boat; it simply generates a steady pressure that limits the quantity of rolling you will experience

We need a bit of attention not to have the wind and current bounce us back on the pontoon. Captain Monk takes his time to make sure everybody has a clear idea of what they are supposed to do. He is a good teacher, so good that I can still remember his explanation and add it to the files here.
